Maersk Line Detention/Per Diem Free Time

Dear Valued Customer,

Effective January 1, 2012 we will adjust our detention/per diem tariff free days in Canada and the United States for dry cargo from five (5) working days to four (4) for both exports and imports.  Cargo moving in operating refrigerated containers and special equipment such as open tops will remain at three working days.

For import shipments received at the load port prior to January 1, these containers will get the five days regardless of when they arrive at destination. Likewise, for exports where the empty container gated out from our terminal prior to January 1, these too will get five days. Any containers thereafter will be guided by the new free days.

As always we thank you for your business and look forward to continually serving your global transportation needs.

Thank you,

Maersk Line
